Introduction

ACCA, the Catalan Association of Food Science, is an independent subsidiary society in the scope of the Institut d’Estudis Catalans. We gather both professionals, companies and organisations involved all along the stream chain of Food and beverage. We aim to promote the development, debate and exchange of ideas and knowledge in all areas within Food Sciences.

ACCA was founded in 1979 and is territorially represented at Catalonia and areas of Catalan language influence.

ACCA publishes the technical journal TECA and the newsletter to communicate to their associates BUTLLETI, as well as the present website.

ACCA organises meeting, workshops and symposia, and cooperates with researchers and research organisations in the Food Sciences.
